Role: MST & Events Co-ordinator
Territory: South West South (covers South Devon, Yeovil, Bridgwater and North Dorset)
Reporting to: Regional Sales Director
What the job entails:
As an MST (Media Solutions Team) & Events Co-ordinator you will be responsible for putting together proposals for clients and the sales team.
You will also attend weekly SPI (Sponsorship Promotions and Interactive) meetings with the programming and Media Solutions Team to come up with creative solutions to client briefs.
An MST & Events Co-ordinator keeps all SPI documents up to date and ensures that the sales team are informed about what is available for them to sell. You must implement campaigns effectively and maintain a high level of customer service.
You will work with the digital and programming teams to manage on air/online competitions, including contacting winners and organising prize delivery.
As an MST & Events Co-ordinator, you will also generate new event opportunities, manage event budgets, recruit promo staff and produce proposals for event pitches.
You will attend meetings with the Events Manager to pitch or agree involvement with an event, recognise opportunities for third party sponsor activity, clearing with event managers and put together proposals for the sales team.
You will liaise with any third party sponsors to organise on-air/online presence and with the Street Team to ensure relevant on-site presence.
You will also book presenters for events.
What are we looking for?
You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to generate creative and effective ideas. You need to be organised and be able to plan and prioritise.
Ultimately, Radio sales is all about self-motivation, commercial acumen and above all a ‘can do’ attitude. The ideal candidate will have experience within managing events or projects, preferably in the media sector, however, this is not essential. Full driving license essential.
