'Please don't take home wartime bombs'

The coastguard in Watchet have urged people not to take home suspected wartime bombs they find.

Yesterday someone found a wartime ordnance on Kilve beach, on Exmoor, and took it home.

Police and the British Army Explosive's team ended-up being called to their house to check if it was safe.

A spokesperson later took to social media to say: "Please don’t remove suspicious items from the shoreline."

Last night the coastguard in Burnham also issued a warning - after a search for a missing child.

Police, lifeguards and beach wardens all helped look for the child yesterday - who was eventually found

Crews say 'inquisitive children' move quickly - and parents need to keep a close eye on them
