Soccer AM Charity Game

Soccer AM will be hosting a charity football match on Sunday, April 26, at Basingstoke Town’s Soccer AM Stadium in aid of the show’s charity partner Street League – a national charity which utilises the power of football to tackle youth unemployment across the UK.
Soccer AM favourites Max Rushden, Tubes, Rocket and Franky Fryer will take to the pitch to show off their footballing talents, alongside a host of celebrity guests.
Former Swansea striker Lee Trundle, TV’s Ralf Little, YouTube star Joe Weller, Broadchurch's Joe Sims, Call the Midwife's Jack Ashton, ex-EastEnders star Tony Discipline and presenter Jack Brazier will all be in attendance.
The proceeds from gate receipts will be donated to Street League and its award-winning Academy programme which, during its 10-week duration, helps unemployed 16 to 24-year-olds.
While enrolled in the programme, those from the toughest backgrounds develop key employability skills and acquire qualifications, as well as playing football every day.
At the end of the programme, participants move into work placements with employers who are supporting Street League.
Matt Stevenson-Dodd, chief executive of Street League, said: “Everyone at Street League can’t wait for the big match between Soccer AM XI and Basingstoke XI.
“All of the money raised will be used to support our football and education Academy programme, which will help young people from disadvantaged backgrounds get into work and training.”
Basingstoke Town manager Jason Bristow, who’ll be in charge of the Basingstoke XI, added: “We are delighted and extremely lucky to have the support of Soccer AM this season.
“The event will be a fantastic opportunity to come together to celebrate a fantastic partnership in the best way possible – playing football while raising money for charity.”
