'Lockdown ultra marathon challenge' underway

A woman from Brixham is today trying to raise hundreds of pounds by running an ultra marathon inside - including repeatedly going up and down the stairs.

Hannah Beaumont was due to run for 30 miles this weekend but the event was cancelled because of the lockdown.

She is now undertaking the challenge inside her charity base at The Edge for two charities.

She said: "Manorlands hospice looked after my Grandma before she passed away a year ago.

"They continue to help my Grandad and help many others in the community. After hearing they are struggling in the current situation I want to try and do my bit.

"Yes! Brixham, the charity which I work for, is helping in the local area by delivering food parcels to those in need.

"We have had a high demand for these and so our food bank empties at a fast rate.

Recently Hannah asked everyone to upload videos of their day during lockdown to record it for future generations, for details click here
