Four arrested after man stabbed in the head in Newton Abbot

Armed police raided an address on Paynsford Road.

Four people have been arrested after one man was stabbed in the head and another sustained a head injury during a fight in Newton Abbot.

Police were called to an address in Paynsford Road, Newton Abbot, at around 9am, following reports of an altercation involving several people. 
Officers, armed police and ambulance were sent to the scene.
A serious assault has occurred inside the property and one man has sustained a stab wound to the head.

Another man suffered a head injury. 
The injured men, both aged 25, were treated by paramedics.

Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening and they were taken to hospital. 
Three men and a woman have been arrested and taken into police custody in connection with the incident. 
A 33-year-old man from Torquay has been arrested on suspicion of assault GBH with intent and false imprisonment. 
A 21-year-old man from Newton Abbot has been arrested on suspicion of assault GBH with intent. 
An 18-year-old man from Newton Abbot has been arrested on suspicion of assault GBH. 
A 42-year-old woman from Newton Abbot has been arrested on suspicion of assault GBH and false imprisonment.
