Five arrests after 16k drugs bust

Devon and Cornwall police dog Molly helped officers with the drugs raid

Police from Paignton and Brixham have carried out a raid recovering drugs with a street value of £16,000.

Officers say five people - three men and two women - were arrested

Other items were also seized and police dog Molly helped with the raid yesterday.

A police spokesperson said: "At about 1425 hours officers from the Paignton and Brixham Policing Teams, along with the South Devon Crime and Proactive Policing Team executed a Misuse of Drugs Act search warrant at a residential property.

"PD Molly and her handler also assisted with the search of the address.

"Five persons were detained on entry, two females and three males. 

"Controlled drugs with an estimated street value of £16000 were seized, along with other evidential items.

The investigation is ongoing."
