The Breeze can reveal a member of Devon and Somerset's fire Authority has called for changes to the ongoing consultation.
The options, which aims to save £8 million, could result in eight fire stations being closed and operational changes at other sites.
Fire authority member Councillor Rob Hannaford wants extra reports and details to be released which he says fully reflect the full range of uses the closure-threatened fire stations currently have.
He says there's a danger that people are not getting the full picture.
We have contacted the Fire Service about the comments and they have urged people to click here and take part in the consultation.
