Lifetime Achievement: Patricia Roberts
When Patricia moved into Torbay in 1965 she was working full time and joined the newly formed Torbay Hospital League of Friends.
She compiled a rota of volunteers to push a telephone trolley to bedsides, helping patients to make phone calls.
She also did fundraising to buy vases and fruit bowls for bedsides.
On her retirement 28 years ago, she became Vice Chair and then Chair of T.H.L.O F and is now President and is still working actively for this wonderful local charity.
She is now looking forward to The Final Push of a bed along Torquay Seafront on Aug 28th collecting for the new Critical Care Unit.
