Community Groups: Bobby Singh
The Torbay Ability club has been set up for people with disabilities aged 10 to 21 years.
Its aim is to break down barriers of participation and provides an inclusive sporting environment for people of all abilities regardless of their disability.
The club runs once a month from 10.00am to 12.00 noon at Torbay leisure centre.
Torbay Ability Club is set up and led by Bobby and run by volunteers.
Bobby has been nominated for his devotion to the club and determined efforts to making it a success.
Bobby said: “My passion is to support and inspire children and young adults with a disability to engage and participate in sport creating a totally inclusive environment. The Ability Club is an exciting health and wellbeing leisure service in Torbay, supported by dedicated volunteers, who have specialist experience of enabling people with disabilities to participate in team and individual activities. We aim to inspire and support people with learning disabilities to progress by learning new skills and improving their fitness and health”.
