Helping Hands for the Blind

Helping Hands for the Blind receive £300

Helping Hands for the blind eliminate social inequalities by Providing help, advice and support for the blind, visually impaired, their families and carers.  This can help to maintain their independence and improve the quality of their lives.

We design, develop and deliver activities that benefit the blind and visually impaired community in the Basingstoke and surrounding areas.

With the  kind donation from The Breeze Kids Trust, we are holding a Pizza making activity for a group of visually impaired children, and also a sensory touch activity with a great company called Creature teachers, where the children can touch, hold and feel various animals from snakes, owls, rabbits, and many more.

For the visually impaired children of Basingstoke, small activities like this help to build confident, gain independence and above all to reduce isolation.
