To recognise International Nurses Day 2019 staff at Southampton Children's Hospital have been dressing up.
Each ward at the hospital dressed as a different country to recognise the work of nurses, ahead of the official International Nurses Day on Sunday (12 May).
Awards were given out for the best dressed ward and individual, with the medical unit receiving the best dressed award - a £200 addition to their charity fund.
The Assessment unit claimed second prize, and £100 towards their charity fund.
There are 600 nurses in total, and each of them received an individual gift, while each ward received an afternoon tea hamper full of treats for their nurses.
A spokesperson from the hospital said:
"The patients have loved it and have got involved by making decorations for their wards and creating drawings to praise their nurses."
