A male motorcyclist has died in a serious collision with a car on the westbound side of the M27.
Emergency services were called to an incident between junction 9 for Segensworth and Fareham and 8 for Bursledon and Hamble at around 10.20pm last night (Monday 20th May).
The man who died hasn't yet been formally identified.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Police issued this statement:
"We are appealing for witnesses or information following a fatal road traffic collision on the Westbound M27 last night.
"The incident occurred at 10.20pm at Junction 9 of the motorway and involved a car and a motorbike.
"The male rider of the motorcycle sadly died at the scene but has yet to be formally identified.
"If anyone witnessed the collision or has any dash cam footage, please get in touch by calling 101 and quoting Operation Kira."
