The rider of the mobility scooter involved in the crash, a 97 year-old man, has died in hospital from his injuries.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the collision involving the mobility scooter and a Ford Fiesta on Wide Lane in Eastleigh on Wednesday 1st May.
Officers were called shortly before 2pm and a 97 year-old man from West End was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment.
He subsequently died in hospital in the early hours of Saturday 4th May.
Police say they're particularly keen to speak to the owner of a Nissan Quashqai who they believe may have witnesses the collision take place.
Officers added they understand the vehicle was directly behind the Ford Fiesta, so may be able to provide a valuable account of what happened.
