Avon and Somerset Police say they've been involved in what they call their most 'unforgettable proposal'.
Yesterday they pulled over a car which had no insurance in Shirehampton, seizing the vehicle.
The driver said he was taking his girlfriend out to propose.
He then asked the officer to film the proposal at the roadside - and she said yes.
One commentator laster asked: "Is this for real?? It’s a joke right???"
The force replied: "For clarity, the vehicle was seized and recovered, and the driver prosecuted for the offence.
"At no point was there a suggestion that the officer hasn't dealt with this incident appropriately."
