More easyJet flights from Bristol Airport from 1 July have been announced, with the airline adding they're "really pleased".
The airline say they're planning to operate 36 routes in July, increasing to 57 in August from Bristol both domestically and internationally.
In total, easyJet are planning to fly around 50% of their 1022 routes in July and the expect that to rise to around 75% in August.
Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager commented:
“We are really pleased to be relaunching more flights from Bristol Airport from 1 July and starting to get customers reunited with loved ones, back to work or away on their much-needed summer holidays.
"With so many families travelling over the peak summer easyJet has teamed up with a superhero illustrator to create comic book inspired face mask covers for children flying this summer to help ease the experience for both kids and parents.
"Irish artist Will Sliney, best known for his work on Marvel comics Spider-Man and Star Wars, has created a range of new comic book inspired face mask covers for young easyJet flyers.
“Of course, the safety and wellbeing of our customers and crew remains our highest priority."
The airline has added a whole host of safety measures are to be introduced including enhanced disinfectant for easyJet aircrafts; passengers, cabin crew and ground crew being required to wear a mask; and initially no food service onboard the aircrafts.
Ali Gayward added:
"This is why we have implemented a number of measures enhancing safety at each part of the journey from disinfecting the aircraft to requiring customers and crew to wear masks.
"These measures will remain in place for as long as is needed to ensure customers and crew are able to fly safely as the world continues to recover from the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.”

"The measures include enhanced cleaning procedures, social-distancing policies, one way queuing systems, hand sanitiser locations, contactless payment facilities, customer awareness signage, protective screens for customer interaction points and staff wearing face coverings in all key customer contact points as safety is our key priority.”
The new measures in full are as follows:
- Aircraft cleaning: Additional cleaning and disinfection procedures, with every aircraft subject to a daily disinfection process.
- Onboard measures: Passengers and crew staff being required to wear masks while onboard, while all flights are to be equipped with spare sanitary equipment such as masks, gloves and hand sanitiser if required.
- Airport measures: Customers required to use an automated bag drop to check in luggage. Crews will also not be allowed to handball any customer documents during boarding, with customer asked to present and scan their own documents.
- Social distancing: Passengers onboard flights may be able to sit at distance where seats are available, while social distancing measures will be in place at the airports, gates and during boarding.
