Witness appeal launched after man dies in Reading crash

Thames Valley Police are asking for witnesses, or anyone with dash-cam footage of a fatal collision to come forward.

The man in his sixties was pronounced dead at the scene, after a Silver Mercedes Benz E-Class collided with a single-decker bus on Henley Road, Caversham at around 4:11pm yesterday afternoon (Monday, 2nd December, 2019).

The man's next of kin have been informed.

No one else was injured from the crash.

Investigating officer Wayne Reece of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said:

“We are investigating this road traffic collision in which a man has sadly died.

“Our thoughts remain with the family at this difficult time.

“We are appealing for witnesses to this collision and would ask anyone with dash-cam footage of the incident to please come forward.”
