A Thames Valley Police officer, based at Loddon Valley station near Reading, has been found guilty of gross misconduct.
A panel has decided PC Maryann Shaw, discredited the force and would've been sacked, after she was stopped for drink driving.
PC Shaw resigned from her position at the start of this month.
Deputy Chief Constable John Campbell said:
“PC Shaw’s actions in driving while over the drink drive limit were below the standards expected of a Thames Valley Police officer.
“The force takes incidents such as this extremely seriously and expects better from its officers. Driving while over the limit can affect lives, and there is no place in Thames Valley Police for any officers who behave like this.
“A thorough investigation was carried out, and the hearing has found that her conduct amount to gross misconduct.
“Had she still been a Thames Valley Police officer, she would have been dismissed from the force.”
