Around 50 firefighters have been dealing with a large fire in Maidenhead Town Centre this morning.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service say the fire broke out in a derelict building in Queens Street just before 2am on Tuesday 12th March.

Firefighters from Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and London have been on the scene this morning.

Councillor Simon Dudley, who's the Leader of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, says the fire started in a derelict nightclub building in an area of the town which is earmarked for regeneration.

Firefighters have confirmed no one has been injured and they've since confirmed they're scaling down their operation.

Earlier, Councillor Dudley told us more about the incident.

Throughout the morning updates have been posted on social media.
