Crews are continuing to help a trawler, which has run aground off the Isle of Wight.

Lifeboat teams from the RNLI were originally sent to assist the vessel yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 12th November).

It had been acting as a guard for a cable laying project at the time it found itself in trouble.

An operation is continuing near the submarine barrier between Horse Sand Fort and Southsea seafront.

Crews involved in the mission have been posting updates on social media.

You can find out more about the work which has been taking place in the post below.
