The annual Red Funnel Isle of Wight Awards event has opened its voting to the public ahead of the ceremony in March 2020.

The revamped awards will recognise the best places to go, stay and eat across the Island.

There are twenty categories in total, with new ones including 'Best Place for Dogs', 'Greenest Business' and 'Best Newcomer'.

Over 150 businesses have been nominated, with voting open until the 28th February 2020.

Overall winners will be recognised with gold, silver and bronze awards.

Commenting on the awards, CEO of Red Funnel, Fran Collins, said:

“I’m very excited about this year’s inaugural Red Funnel Isle of Wight Awards.

"Recognising and celebrating Island businesses is just one way Red Funnel gives back to, and shows our appreciation for all the incredible businesses that make the Island an amazing place to live and to visit.

"I wish all the nominees the very best of luck in the public vote and I look forward to presenting at the awards in March.”
