EasyJet to resume more Bristol Airport flights across Europe

A major airline says it is "really pleased" to be resuming flights from Bristol Airport to several European destinations.

From next month, EasyJet has confirmed passengers will be carried to some locations - in countries such as Spain, Italy and Denmark - for the first time since lockdown.

These are in addition to the range of routes already operating during July.

The airline claims extra cleaning and social distancing measures prove customer safety is its "highest priority".

Ali Gayward, EasyJet’s UK Country Manager, said: “We have implemented a number of measures enhancing safety at each part of the journey from disinfecting the aircraft to requiring customers and crew to wear masks.

"These measures will remain in place for as long as is needed to ensure customers and crew are able to fly safely as the world continues to recover from the impact of the coronavirus pandemic".

EasyJet customers looking to reschedule a cancelled trip - due to lockdown restrictions - can now book for anytime until September 2021.

This follows Bristol Airport announcing it could cut nearly a quarter of jobs last week.
