Continental Street Market returns to Gloucester

Photo: Continental Street Market

It'll be back for four days in October

The Continental Street Market event, which first visited Gloucester in May of this year, is set to return in a few weeks time.

There will be a bigger line up of international themed traders for this return visit, with a host of street food options.

The event, which will be on Eastgate Street, will be open from 10am to 6pm Wednesday the 3rd of October to Saturday the 6th.

Around 25 traders will have a wide array of products on offer, from unusual craft items, to food traders offering hot and cold produce from their native countries.

The food on offer will range from cakes and pastries, to flavoured cheeses and olives, to hot food offerings such as Greek Gyros, Spanish Paella and Pad Thai.

Managing Director of RR Events - who runs the Continental Street Market - Tony Walsh said: “Our team of staff and traders have been involved in events across Europe for over 10 years.

"We are particularly proud of our Continental Street Market events, as we know the atmosphere that they bring to the towns and cities we visit.

"We would like to thank Marketing Gloucester and Gloucester City Council for their hard work facilitating the event, and hope that it’s well received locally as our other event was.

Jason Smith, chief executive at Marketing Gloucester, said: "Marketing Gloucester is working closely with the Gloucester Business Improvement District and Gloucester City Council to bring high quality events to the city to drive footfall.

"Following the popularity of the first Continental Street Market by RR Events, we are confident that this market will give yet another reason for locals and visitors to come to Gloucester."

Around 25 traders will be present selling the best of the continent’s gastronomic delights and craft items. The food on offer will range from cakes and pastries for those with a sweet tooth, flavoured cheeses and olives for those who prefer savoury treats, as well as a host of hot food offerings such as Greek Gyros, Spanish Paella and Pad Thai.
