Police have now launched a murder investigation, after a man from Basingstoke - who was attacked on Halloween last year - died in hospital from his injuries.
On 31st October, Frazer Brabant was assaulted on Gershwin Road and found in the rear garden of a residential property.
He sustained serious head injuries, which left him in hospital until his death on Tuesday.
Five men - four of whom are from Basingstoke - have been arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

Detective Inspector Lee McClellan said: “This was an extremely violent and cowardly attack that happened nearly three months ago.
“Nearly three months Frazer has spent in hospital, unable to speak or communicate in any way with his family, who were at his bedside throughout and who have been left heartbroken.
“I and my team are committed to finding those responsible and bringing them to justice”
