Pilot and plane escape without serious damage following New Forest emergency landing

A pilot’s had a lucky escape after his plane had to make an emergency landing in a field in the New Forest.

The single-seater aircraft landed in Godshill yesterday morning (Sunday 19th May).

The pilot had to land the plane in a remote field after its engine had cut out during a journey to Poole from Farley. 

Firefighters and other emergency services from across Hampshire rushed to the scene, but when they arrived they found the aircraft and the pilot had both survived without any damage.
