Motorcyclist knocked unconscious in Whitchurch crash

Police in Whitchurch have launched an investigation after a motorcyclist was knocked unconscious.

Officers say the 19 year old was travelling on Winchester Road when he was hurt in the crash at around 6.15pm on Saturday 15th June.

A BMW car involved in the collision failed to stop at the scene.

Hampshire Police are appealing for witnesses as they investigate what happened.

A spokesperson issued this statement:

"We are appealing for witnesses or information after a motorcyclist was knocked unconscious after a collision in Whitchurch with a BMW that failed to stop.

"The incident occurred at around 6.18pm on Saturday, June 15. The 19 year old motorcyclist was travelling on a green Kawasaki bike on the Winchester Road, near the entrance of the Clock Barn.

"During the collision, the motorcyclist came off his bike, was knocked unconscious and sustained injuries to his left leg.

"It is believed the BMW was grey and would have sustained significant damage to the offside rear passenger door, window and trim.
