The Trust has contributed 56 bags to a Swiss museum, as part of its public display.
The Spielzeug Welten Museum Basel (Toy World Museum Basel) has been turned into a handbag heaven with its recent exhibition, "Bags - Icons and Investments".
It follows a 16-month process which involved a large bag audit.
The exhibition features around 400 items from 14 countries, including works by over 40 renowned designers and artists.
The bags loaned by the Hampshire Cultural Trust date from around 1810 to 1900 and feature intricately detailed designs.
Representatives from the museum contacted the Trust in June 2018, requesting the bag loan.
The process whittled down 290 handbags to just 56, that would arrive at the exhibition.
Items over 200-years-old came with a set of instructions on how to handle and display them.
Hampshire Cultural Trust conserves 2.5 million cultural and historically significant objects, with many on display in the 26 museums that operate across Hampshire.
