Young Person Award
Young Person Award - sponsored by South Devon College
Chloe has been a young carer since age of five helping care for her Mother. Chloe has faced many difficult challenges in her life but throughout it all has remained a kind, caring, thoughtful person helping others in the local community. Last year she won a Community Honours award meeting Judi Spiers. Academically she's doing very well in school and is hoping one day to become a Doctor as she loves helping people and is always thinking of others.
Macey decided to grow her hair for the last few years so she could cut it all off for two charities close to her heart. Her friend had cancer as a child and had a wig made from human hair. The little princess trust raise money and collect hair just for children. So Macey went ahead and did it and raised almost £700. She donated half to the trust and half to 11th Torbay sea scouts, where she is an active enthusiastic member of this amazing scout group, which is the love of her life. Macey is also a young carer, she does this with a smile always.
