A woman in her 80s has died after she was involved in a serious crash on Barrack Road in Christchurch.
Dorset Police say the woman's vehicle collided with a lorry yesterday morning (Friday 9th August).
Her car then ended up hitting vehicles in the nearby Premier Inn car park and going through the wall of the hotel itself, causing serious damage.
No one was else hurt in the incident.
The woman’s family have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers.
Dorset Traffic Cops posted this tweet of the scene at the hotel, which shows extensive damage to the hotel.

Police Sergeant Fern Graham said:
“Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.
“We are continuing to investigate this collision to establish the full circumstances and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police or anyone with dashcam footage to contact us.”
