Victims Of Sex Abuse Urged To Come Forward

Victims and survivors of child sexual abuse in Reading are being invited to tell their stories to an official inquiry.

The Truth Project will be coming to town next month, and promises people WILL be listened to.
It'll form part of the Independent Inquiry Into Child Sexual Abuse, which was set up by the Home Secretary in 2014.
Chris Tuck, a survivor of abuse who's now involved in the project, told us, "I think that's what keeps a lot of victims and survivors quiet, because they're judged and in many cases and instances not believed.
"This is an opportunity for that to be switched on its head, and for the victim or survivor to be truly believed in what they're saying."
The Truth Project will be in Reading from November 27th - find out more about what's going on and how to take part here.
