A woman has been airlfited to hospital following a collision on the M5 earlier this morning leaving her with 'serious injuries'.
The motorway was closed southbound between junctions 28 for Cullompton and 29 at Exeter following the incident just before 6am.
A Devon & Cornwall force spokesperson said: "Police were called to Junction 29 of the southbound carriageway, near Exeter, at about 05:50 on Monday following a crash between a car and a lorry.
"A woman in her 20s has been taken to Derriford hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries.
"Three other people have been taken to Exeter's RD&E hospital by land ambulance. Their injuries are unknown at this time.
"Anyone with information and anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 82 14/1/19."
The road reopened just before 1pm.
