The Nominees are:

Abi Martin

Abi Martin

Abi is a 10-year-old gymnast at South Devon School of gymnastics. She is excelling in her sport and is a member of the Great Britain performance pathway squad for 10-12-year-olds. She attends training sessions regularly and trains with some of the top under-12 gymnasts in the country. Last year Abi competed in her first International competition in Malta and was crowned overall champion for her age, as well winning medals on the bars and beam. Despite her young age, Abi shows great maturity. She is extremely dedicated training 22 hours every week and has her sights set on competing for GB when she old enough.

 

Katie Smith

Katie SmithKatie is involved with a surf charity called The Wave Project in South Devon who use surfing as a therapy. She works on improving confidence and reducing anxiety in young people. Initially, the charity was just run form Bigbury but they are now instructing from Paignton as well. Katie is a great advocate of the charity making sure they have the best volunteers to get young people to the beach and in the water. 

 

 

 

Ross Millar

Ross MillarRoss owns local company Diverse Fitness and has been nominated by one of his clients for going above and beyond in his training. He has helped and inspired others not only to get fit and lose weight but also to gain confidence. He specialises in transformations helping people from a place they are not happy with into a place where they dream of being.

 

 

 

 

Cayle Royce

Cayle Royce

Cayle is an injured serviceman who lost both his legs and sustained other injuries. Despite this, he has rowed the Atlantic with other servicemen. Cayle has been nominated for his courage and positive outlook.
