Sue Fear

Sue FearSue is the primary Carer for her son Charlie who is in his early twenties. Charlie has Down Syndrome, is visually impaired and has severe speech difficulties. She provides everything he needs so he can try to live his life as comfortable as possible. Sue is so calm with him and chats to him all the time and in return, Charlie smiles back to show that he is happy and you can really see the love between them.




Kim Moran

Kim MoranKim is so dedicated to her job as a carer for those with dementia. Everything she does is from the heart, giving each and every one of her patient's so much love, and kindness. She is able to stimulate their brains with many enjoyable activities, such as making cupcakes, dancing, singing and she even makes up her own games for them. Her patients deserve to experience the best quality of life, there is no sitting in their chairs with Kim. Kim is so deserving of this award because she is selfless, genuine and puts her patients all before herself.



Claire Redhead

Claire RedheadClaire has worked for Rowcroft in the community for many years supporting patients and families in the last few weeks of life and is an outstanding nursing sister. Rowcroft Hospice is an independent charity providing a wide range of specialist palliative care services for people and their families with progressive life-limiting illnesses. Claire spends her life helping those in need of care and compassion, in those last couple of weeks of their life.




Brian Peake

Brian Peake

Brian gave up work five years ago to look after his wife as a full-time carer, who suffers from fibromyalgia and chronic pain. She has also had two knee replacements and sepsis in the last two years. Debbie has nominated her husband as she wants to recognise his dedication to her and feels she would be lost without him.
