Hamper Scamper

hamper scamper cheltenhamHamper Scamper is County Community Project's Christmas giving scheme, providing gifts and food hampers for some of the county's most disadvantaged children, homeless young people, families and vulnerable elderly.

Christmas is always seen as a special time of year, but this is not the case for everyone. The expense and expectation can place a real strain on any family, but particularly those with low incomes and stressed family circumstances. There are also many lonely and vulnerable young people and adults who simply have nobody to be with at this time of year.

The Breeze is proud to support CCP, and you can too by donating to Hamper Scamper this Christmas – you will be making a significant difference to somebody's Christmas. There are lots of way in which you can get involved with Hamper Scamper this Christmas:

Wrapping station – You can bring all of your Christmas gifts along to CCP's Hamper Scamper gift wrapping station to get them wrapped – all we ask for is a donation in return and they will beautifully wrap your Christmas gifts. You can find the gift-wrapping station located in the Regent Arcade in Cheltenham.

Gift appeal – Are you able to donate a gift for a disadvantaged child this Christmas? If you are, it couldn't be easier – all we ask is for you to buy the gift for a child between 0 -18 and drop it off in our gift appeal box in the Regent Arcade in Cheltenham.

Food shop – For the first time, 2016's Hamper Scamper has a mini supermarket which will be situated in the old BHS store in the Regent Arcade, giving you the opportunity to donate food items by selecting an item in the store for a donation which will be put in the food hampers that will be donated to people in need this Christmas.

Advice and Guidance Service – CCP will be offering an advice drop-in service at the Regent Arcade from 21st November until 23rd December, and then again after Christmas from 2nd January until 6th January 2017. Services included will range from debt advice, family support, advocacy and social inclusion.

Volunteer today – Volunteers for the wrapping station, supermarket collection and food collection for the appeal are always welcomed. To find out how you can volunteer, please email Christ Knight
