SPI Manager Maternity Cover - Thames Valley

Celador Radio forms part of the Celador Entertainment Group.  We’re famous around the world for, amongst others, devising and launching the quiz show ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’ and producing the film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. What the job entails:

As an SPI Manager you will be responsible for all non-airtime revenue within your commercial team.  You will be working closely with account managers to generate SPI business through dual calls, developing exciting ideas for clients and pro-actively identifying revenue opportunities across the business. 

Ultimately, you will be responsible for meeting targets and implementing all SPI campaigns which include proposals, scripts, briefs, digital advertising and managing video production.  You will be expected to champion new products and develop and maintain the relationship between sales and programming for the commercial team.

You will participate in the weekly sales and SPI meetings and identify and implement any SPI training for your region’s sales team.  

Above all, you will be a champion of creative led thinking and work closely with the sales manager/Director of your team as well as the programming team to implement big ideas and encourage the use of SPI solutions for clients amongst your peers.  
 

What are we looking for?
You must have excellent communication skills and be able to generate creative and effective ideas.  A background in sales, preferably in media would also be ideal.  You need to be comfortable with meeting targets and strong organisational skills will be a necessity. You will need good knowledge of PowerPoint and feel confident putting together presentations and pitching your ideas.


Ultimately, Radio sales is all about self-motivation, commercial acumen and above all a ‘can do’ attitude.
