Police have arrested two teenage boys in connection with an alleged attack on an 18 year old man in Petersfield, which left him with suspected broken ribs.
Officers say the 14 and 15 year old were taken into custody this morning (Friday 10th May), in connection with an assault in a field known as High Meadow last night (Thursday 9th May).
They're treating what happened as an 'isolated' incident.
East Hampshire Inspector Pete Parkes said:
“I would like to reassure the public that we believe this to be an isolated incident.
“Arrests have been made and as legal proceedings are now active, we would advise that the public do not use social media to speculate about the incident and anyone involved.
