Coronavirus Donation Appeal

No one in this country can fail to have been affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.

Preston(Torbay) Rotary Club has  50 years of experience in helping their local community in Torbay. They have set up a dedicated fund which will be used solely to help local charities working tirelessly to help those affected by Coronavirus. They need your help now.

President of Preston Rotary Club , Peter Burcher, said:

“Members of Preston Rotary Club  can’t sit still, in self-isolation, without trying their very best to support local charities that are doing so much, and putting themselves in harm’ s way,  to help those in need.
We are so used to doing what we can to help our local community but, especially at this very difficult time for everyone, we can’t get out there with a bucket collection, for instance, or run a golf day or charity dinner to raise funds.

Money raised from the Appeal will be ringfenced for local charities and we will manage the dispersal of funds in the most appropriate and speedy way. Our members are committing their own funds by setting up monthly standing orders to the new Appeal Fund but we urgently need help from the public to chip in with some money to help.”

Peter is asking those willing to help to go to the Club’s web site at www.preston.rotary1175.org.
