The Camrose Centre is a charity registered drop in centre for people who are homeless and vulnerably housed within Basingstoke & Deane. We are open on a Tuesday and Thursday between 10am and 2pm offeringbreakfast and a hot lunch and currently catering for around 30 users a day. We have at the moment drop ins from 4 different agencies offering support with benefits, housing advice and referrals and problems with addiction. Camrose tries our best to provide basic washing facilities to rough sleepers as well as clothes and shoes. We can give out tents and sleeping bags to rough sleepers which is life saving in cold weather.
We are looking at adapting the property to better suit our needs. This will include installing washing machines and tumble dryers, converting a disabled loo into a wet room for showering and improving storage facilities.
We are always looking for donations of men’s clothes and shoes/boots. Non perishable food eg. Pot noodles, cuppa soups, cereals, cereal bars, tins (with ring pulls). Sleeping bags and tents.
Individual donations can be dropped off at either the Camrose Centre, Glebe Hall, Church Square, Basingstoke, RG21 7QW during the above opening times or to Basingstoke Voluntary Services at the Orchard, White Hart Lane, Basingstoke, RG21 4AF between 9am and 6 pm Monday to Friday. If any companies wish to donate, please call Basingstoke Voluntary Services on 01256 423816 quoting Camrose Centre and we will arrange collection.
