Gloucestershire's former Chief Fire Officer to appear in court

Stewart Edgar

Gloucestershire's former Chief Fire Officer will appear in court next month charged with fraud.

52 year-old Stewart Edgar - who left his role with the county's fire service in 2018 - will appear at Cheltenham Magistrates on Tuesday 10 March after being charged via way of postal requisition.

The charge follows consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service after an investigation by Gloucestershire Police into the alleged sale of a Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service Land Rover back in April 2018.
