Oscar and multi-Grammy-winning Prince died on April 21st.

750,000 Prince albums were bought by grieving fans in the 4 days after he died. A private funeral was held for the singer near his home in Minnesota.

The Queen turns 90

Her Majesty The Queen celebrated her 90th birthday and was presented with a cake made by 2015 Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain. The Bake Off star appeared on Loose Women to defend her creation after social media users described it as 'wonky'.

Tributes were paid to Victoria Wood after she died following a six-month battle with cancer. The comedienne was remembered at the opening of West End show 'Funny Girl'. Lead actress Sheridan Smith told the audience that Wood was one of her idols.
