A woman, aged in her 70s, has been threatened with a knife and is now being supported by police in Wiltshire who have been 'conducting extensive enquiries'.

Two men forced their way into her home in Sedgefield Gardens in Devizes, just after 8am yesterday

One man threatened her while another searched her bedroom before they fled the scene empty handed - leaving the eldery woman very shaken.

Detective Constable Jayne Wilby said: "This was understandably very frightening for the victim.

"It is fortunate that she was not injured however she was understandably very shaken up and has been left feeling frightened as a result of this incident.

"We have been conducting extensive enquiries today and have obtained descriptions of the two men involved.

"The first man is described as white, approximately 18 years old, 5 ft 3 inches tall, of slim build and wearing a grey hoodie.

"The second man is described as white, also aged around 18 years old, of a similar height and build, and wearing a black or navy coloured hoodie.

"We would urge anyone who was in the area, or anyone who may have seen these individuals, to get in touch as they may have information which could be significant to our investigation."
