The Breeze understands an escaped wallaby will be reunited with his owner in the next few days.
The animal was reported missing a few months ago.
Staff at Tropiquaria Zoo near Watchet helped catch it before Christmas after it was reported in someone's garden.
The animal was not part of an attraction and being kept privately before it escaped.
The zoo's Chris Moiser believes there's probably two other wallabies - which people have lost - currently roaming across Somerset.
He says across Somerset there's also families with exotic pets such as emus and meerkats as well as wallabies.
