Woman dies in Tidworth crash

A woman from Ludgershall has died in a serious collision in Tidworth in Wiltshire.

Police have confirmed the 55 year old passed away from the injuries she suffered in the crash on the A338 yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 12th November).

The woman and another pedestrian, who suffered minor injuries, were hit by a car as they tried to cross the road.

The female driver of the car remained at the scene and has been assisting officers with their enquiries.

No arrests have been made so far.

PC Pete Williamson, from Wiltshire Police’s Collision Investigation Unit, said:

“We have already spoken to a number of witnesses, but we are appealing for anyone else with information who has not yet come forward to please call us.

“We are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who has dash cam footage or who saw either the collision itself, or the Volkswagen Sharan shortly beforehand.

“If you can help in any way then please make contact with police.”
