The 2017 Torbay Airshow has been hailed a huge success after record-breaking crowds turned out for an action packed two-day programme of world-class air displays. The event, which took place on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 June, attracted over 150,000 visitors across the bay over the two days and hosted the RAF Red Arrows first display of the season, revealing the world’s premier aerobatic team’s 2017 routine.

Torbay’s Elected Mayor, Gordon Oliver, said: “This year’s Torbay Airshow has been a resounding success. It was a delight to see the whole Bay so busy with residents and visitors enjoying a spectacular show and an honour to host the RAF Red Arrows first display of their 2017 season.

“This is just the type of free family event we want to host and our beautiful coastal location lends itself perfectly to this type of show, which has no doubt brought a substantial economic boost to the Bay over the weekend. We would love to make the Torbay Airshow a signature annual event for the area.”
