Fundraiser of the Year

Fundraiser of the Year Award sponsored by Neil Tucker Van Sales
Awarded for innovative and tireless fundraising.

Your Nominees:

Vix Pritchard-Davies – “Vix has been a stand out member of the Fishstock Brixham Crew, raising money for the Fishermens Mission Charity for many year. Tirelessly Vix has organised fundraising raffles, toured businesses for prizes, sought advertising, printed programmes and promoted Fishstock through various different media platforms, particularly social media. Over the years Vix has raised thousands for the Fishermens Mission Charity.”

Lorna Sheppard –  “I would like to nominate Lorna for Fundraiser of the year. She puts a tremendous amount of time and effort into fundraising for the Blue Cross whether that’s attending events or raising awareness or funds or actually running events herself. Lorna works tirelessly throughout the year organising different events from bag packs to dog days and coffee mornings. Pretty much every weekend of hers is taken up raising money for the animals she loves so much. She is a joy to be around, a great laugh and all the volunteers think she rocks.”

Lissanne Sherwood – “Lissanne took part this year in Rowcrofts ‘Over the Edge - The Drop’ 100ft crane Abseil to raise much needed funds for the hospice. Both Lissannes mum and one of her closest friends sadly died of cancer and raising money for charities which support cancer sufferers and those with terminal illness is extremely important to her. Lissanne raised an individual amount of over £1,400 for Rowcroft which totalled a tenth of the final amount raised for the hospice from the event. I think Lissanne should be recognised for the time and effort she puts into raising these funds for this worthwhile charirty.”

Anne Whitehouse – “Anne has supported the Acorn Centre and the people of Hele for many years. She continually raises funds for the Windmill Centre, Heles Angels and Acorn. She is 68 and walked to Newton Abbot 2yrs ago and raised with friends £1,500 and this year she walked on her own to Goodrington and back raising over £500. She volunteers at activities at the Acorn for Timebank and gives the points she has earned to the Acorn Centre so we can have help. She is incredible and is always smiling”
